messing about with the keys on the E71 and holding down the * key and it turns on and off bluetooth. Holding down the 0 key and the bookmarks appear as does when holding down the return key.
I haven’t read this anywhere else so I’m hoping that I’ve got a scoop!
I’ll go check what happens on the E61i just to check I’m not two years late..nope the E61i doesn’t do it.

Yes. I noticed those. Tried them a while back as I assumed it would follow the E51 functionality.

Hi Rob, yes a long press on the * activates the bluetooth, a long press on the # activates the Silent mode.
Was it not the case on previous Nokia devices (sorry the E51 is the first Nokia I own :-))? What does the long * press do on the N95?

My dabble with irony obviously missed the mark. I could always read the manual, as oppossed to believing that the manual is in fact just the manufacturers opinion as to how the device should be used.

@Mino
a long press of the * does nothing on the N95 or most of the N-series devices for that matter. We’re hoping that Nokia rolls out the * long press across all Nokia’s from now on.
