Following on from my previous post, does Google know something we don’t?. First it’s an agreement with eBay and then today Eric joins Apple. [via] Technorati Tags: google

On Friday, GigaOm, the blogging network started by former Business 2.0 writer Om Malik, launched its own job board. The board, which charges $200 per listing, plans to make itself the destination for job listings from telecommunications, broadband, and networking companies, particularly for positions at the managerial levels.
GigaOm has launched a job’s board for [...]

what amazes me here is the sheer speed at which these decisions are being made is just amazing.
The interop between gtalk and skype is great news too, as I’m currently using both it hopefully won’t be long before I can end up with just one.

GigaOm has a post on the continued consolidation within the telco space.
It’s with these thoughts in mind and the changing competitive lanscape that I am going to predict here that BT and Vodafone will look to either merge or Vodafone will try to acquire BT in 2007 in order to create a new super Telecom. Maybe the new merged BT and Vodafone company could simply be [...]
I though TechCrunch had a global focus as it’s featured AllPeers, but maybe I was wrong. TechCrunch UK is interesting and will be worth reading. It’ll also be interesting to see just how much innovation takes place in the UK. We’re at 75% broadband penetration now (or some similar number) in the UK so the [...]
I wrote to Commontime a few days back about if/when they intend to launch mNotes for Symbian Series 60 V8, in my case the N70. The response was no. Here’s the mail.

This is a strategic move.
I heard a romour the other day that IBM was looking to push more into Security. I think this signals a real intent to do that on a big scale $1.3bn is a lot of cash. [via]

Finally, Nokia have decided to let the masses upgrade it’s phones firmware by themselves. I had to give my N70 to my local Nokia shop who charged me 17.50 for doing it.
It’s not hard, as the post says, I’ve flashed my SPV dozens of times.
Haven’t tried this yet, but I’m hoping it’ll allow me to use a cut down calendar sync to my N70, don’t need all the details for the day just the general, I’m in london, I’m in Paris view to share with friends and family outside of the Notes environment. Fingers crossed.
UPDATE: it says it all [...]
Robert has posted why he prefers outlook to Google Calendar, it’s the same reasons I’m sticking to Notes right now. GCalendar just isn’t interegrated into the enterprise email fabric.
You’ve probably used the ADSLguide speed test which works but it a little dull. Check this one out it’s a little cooler. [via digg]
just noticed a blip in my traffic stats, checked out the referers, it’s traffic coming from Techmeme
TechCrunch, is it me or is the Crunch empire growing way too big?
Anyway, Writely has launched and I’m going to check it out asap. It means that another peice of the computing software world moves to the web 2.0 empire.
All this means that the browser is key. It’s great for mobile devices, if they can [...]
