Telecom Giants in Europe Plan $30 Billion Deal

Nokia of Finland and Siemens of Germany are expected to announce on Monday that they will merge their telecommunication network equipment businesses in a deal valued at more than $30 billion, people involved in the transaction said tonight

Another Merger in the Telecoms space. Not sure how much of a 50/50 merger it is, Siemens wanted out of the telecoms business, it's sold off it's handset division and now it's got shot of the next largest chuck. [Via]
