pesky fair ground owner..
i’ve fixed the mysterious web site failure….It was a BIOS setting that moved the linux box to a power saving mode after 30 mins.
I’ve disabled it so hopefully the web site should be up now and for as long as I want.

apache is running ok still..and now so id vsftp which allows me to ftp from the XP box to the linux box once I’ve edited the web pages in dreamweaver…cool.
